The card that was previously your "Mode" now becomes a summon on the board in your old hex, while the card that was a summon becomes your new active "Mode".
The Prism starts each scenario by choosing a "Mode" (a persistent card that grants permanent buffs). When you use a Transfer ability, you swap places with one of your active summons. The summon is removed from the board, and you teleport to its hex.
